Jaguar TCS Racing Formula E race car at Dow Terneuzen
Since March 2024 the Jaguar TCS Racing Formula E racing car has been parked in Dow Terneuzen. This high-tech racing car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.2 seconds, weighs only 850 kg, and has dual electric motors. Dow is responsible for many of the materials that make up the car for example those that prevent overheating.
With 16 factories, Dow Terneuzen is Dow’s second largest manufacturing location in the world.
Dow collaborates with the Jaguar TCS Racing team to achieve optimal performance of the race car and to develop sustainable materials with their experts that continue to function under extreme conditions. They help implement improvements in efficiency and performance in passenger cars. This race car is a real-life example of what the industry is capable of. It's a collaboration where science, innovation, sustainability, and industrial solutions come together. Dow Terneuzen have provided materials to prevent overheating, materials that ensure the components can be assembled even better and more sustainably, and they have collaborated with Jaguar TCS Racing to implement electronic improvements. Additionally, they are working on future optimizations regarding weight and lighting.
The show car has been given a permanent home in the Dow Terneuzen Diamond Center. This center is not open to visitors. However, the factory is considering inviting the JEC Dutch members for an exclusive visit!
