Great minds…

Despite the evenings getting brighter, most of our Jaguars are still on SORN, so our March meeting was our rearranged Quiz night at Kippie Lodge, our home base, with most folks arriving in “their other car”. This was our first evening meeting at Kippie taking account of the membership suggestion to meet and eat earlier, so most folks turned up ready to order for 18:00. The early ordering seemed to work okay with the kitchen and staff, but not sure what happened to the membership as only a total of 11 people made it along.

As always Steve Cromar, our chairperson, managed to set an interesting and topical quiz, with 20 motoring and general knowledge based questions with multiple choice answers. Winner with the highest score of the night was Jim Mann, with Bill Ironside second. Les Gomeche and Andrew Bell were third and fourth respectively, with everyone receiving a prize for their efforts.

We have a busy start to the “season” coming up, with the local Autojumble on the 14thof April, the official Drive It Day on the 21st of April and then our own Jim Mann’s organised Drive It Weekend over the 27th and 28th of April. In May, we have our GR JEC Spring Break, which this year will be visiting a new location in Perthshire.

Remember, if you are visiting Scotland from south of the border, do get in touch with the Grampian Region, you will be most welcome.
