On Sunday the 14th of May, we met at the Raemoir Garden Centre for our morning coffee ahead of setting off on our 2023 Spring Break. In addition to the 12 couples who were looking forward to our stay at the Crieff Hydro Hotel, several other GR JEC Members joined us for a Cars, Coffee and Chat morning, including 2 new members to our Region, welcome Steve Smith and Graham Forbes. The weather was not brilliant that weekend, but it did brighten up as we made our way from the garden centre, firstly to a light lunch stop at the Duke of Rothesay Pavilion at Braemar (part of the Braemar Gathering Arena) and then onwards to Crieff, via some very interesting roads for the Jaguars. Some folks even managed to get the top down. All the arrangements were in place for our arrival, including a dedicated lounge area, set out with tea, coffee and a sweet treat to enjoy, whilst we caught up with the tales from our journey. Liz Reekie was the winner of the passenger quiz, finding lots of famous surnames to link with the places we passed through. All in all, it was a fine weekend. By the time you are reading this, we will be just a few weeks away from our Drum Gathering, see you all on Sunday the 30th of July 2023 – Drum Castle.
