The show season is now coming to an end and we have had some excellent sunny days showing our cars at varied venues. Looking towards the year end, we have our annual coach to the Classic Car Show at the NEC on 12th November – very limited spaces are still available, so enquire now if you are interested. Then there is the now famous Dinner Dance on 15th November, followed by our Christmas Buffet at the December club night. The committee have started to arrange events for 2018 and hope to arrange a varied programme as before. Do get in touch with a committee member if there is anything in particular you wish to see included.
We have tried to arrange a variety of different speakers at the meetings, including recently a fireman and a lady from Colchester Zoo ( not together ) and the October meeting features a speaker from Headway charity. Again, do get in touch if you have contacts for speakers.
I also regret to advise you of the sad passing of Colin McLean, who was instrumental in setting up Clacton Classic Car Club, as well as being a member of the JEC and a past Regional Chairman. Our sincere condolences are sent to his wife, Margaret, family and friends.
