Essex and Suffolk Borders - October News

News from our chairman and from around the region

Writing this at the end of October, we have now attended our last show of the year at Colchester but can look forward to a visit to the NEC, plus our grand 'Putting on the Ritz' Dinner Dance in November. More about how that went next time.

In the New Year, our traditional three Golf Club lunches will be on 21 January at Diss, 18 February at Clacton and 24 March, Felixstowe. So please put them in your diary now and contact Geoff, Bob Welton and Kevin respectively if you wish to book. Please note there is no Club Night in January.

The Committee are now looking into shows for next year, which will include old favourites and one or two new ones. The initial thought on a Drive It Day venue for the Spring was the De Havilland Museum in Hertfordshire, but a few comments since on 'planes' and 'distance' has brought about a rethink and we have been talking to Kersey Mill - much nearer home!

I would also advise that the 2 December Club Night at The Cricketers will feature a pre booked Christmas meal, so please note that the usual arrangement for dinner that evening will not apply.
