With our three golf club lunches successfully undertaken, we now look forward to the shows and events planned. Our one-week-late Drive it Day on 30 April will be to Flixton Aviation Museum, followed by lunch in the pub next door.

Preparations for our own show at Rickinghall on Sunday 21 May are progressing well and we hope to have the same excellent weather we had last year. We are expecting a contingent from our neighbours at Essex Thameside, but if you are a member visiting the Norfolk and Suffolk area that weekend and would like to come along, do get in touch. All classics are welcome, and we will have some tractors there too.

A further visit to the classic car preview day at Anglia Car Auctions in Kings Lynn was an interesting experience. A 2004 X type from a deceased estate was available with an estimate of £2000 to £3000, a 2.5 V6 model which had only done 12000 miles! Apart from the alloys needing refurbishing, it looked good to go. A very cheap way into JEC activities. Another Jaguar was an X300 which would have caused a few expletives at shows - painted in a bright pink, with white roof and wheels, it was certainly not a colour from the original chart. It had been used for weddings and proms. Says it all really...
