Our June club night saw three new members attend, so welcome to Eric and Liz, Leigh and Linda and Graeme. The talk this time was from the Prostate Cancer charity, so proved valuable advice to ' get checked out'.
The show season is now fully up and running, and a good contingent made it to the Country Show at Euston, where Peter Pearson was delighted to be awarded the trophy for the best prewar car for his 1 1/2 litre drophead. The trophy is a rather large steering wheel, so it would take up a lot of space on the sideboard!
A great day was had at Ludham Open Gardens and car show, where members enjoyed good weather, boats, gardens and cake as well as the cars on show. We had an early start to get to a pub for bacon rolls at 8, and then proceeded on to Ludham, where a few Norfolk members joined our line up. Some had a slightly different route to others, but we all got there! Several members admired a superb black XK 120 from our Norfolk neighbours - it is always nice to see a few different cars at the shows.
We now look forward to the other events this summer, and if you have not booked yet, do consider joining the shows on the list.
