To quote the cliche, we can now hope for the light at the end of the tunnel - as long as it's not the headlights of the next train hurtling along. Who knows. But it has meant the cancellation of our own event, the Rickinghall Car Show and Craft Fair in May, as we could not see everything being 'normal' by then. We did not want a half hearted affair which might deter visitors in future years, so we are now looking to resume in 2022.
We are starting to have a few dates emerge for 2021, though. All will be very much subject to rules at the time, but there is no harm in pencilling things in! I have seen two dates mentioned for Drive It Day, Friday 23 April and Sunday 25 April, and we will discuss this at our next committee meeting. If anybody booked last year for Cars on the Green at Bardwell, this is being carried over to 30 May. Then I have been notified that Helmingham will be Sunday 1 August, and Lavenham Sunday 29 August. At least there might be something to look forward to this year.
We will keep you advise and try to put a programme together this year as the situation improves. Stay safe everybody.
