Essex and Suffolk Borders - January News

News from around the region

The New Year now brings fresh ideas and by the time you read this our AGM in early February will have come and gone with one or two changes announced on the committee. My grateful thanks go to Bob and Clive for all they have done over many years.

Drive It Day this year will be a week earlier than the national date due to our North Wales trip and will take place on Sunday 19 April. I have arranged a trip to Banham Zoo, with lunch and afternoon tea all included for £30 per head and hopefully a talk from the CEO as well. If you have not put your name down yet and would like to go, please let Geoff or Martin know as soon as possible.

Our own show at Rickinghall on 17 May is shaping up well and hopefully it will be a little warmer than last year. Naturally we wish to see as many members cars there as we can and a rota of 'volunteers' will be prepared for marshaling. We already know that there will be some interesting vehicles attending and it should be a very good day. Lorraine and Bruce have had to bow to a greater event being organised by the National JEC, so unfortunately she won't be there to draw the raffle as duty calls elsewhere.
Any queries on any of the events being arranged, do contact the organiser shown on the list for bookings and further details.
