The Chairmans Notes for January

Christmas is now behind us, as I write this and we eagerly await the Spring events. Our regular lunches for the first three months of the year will be a chance to get the cars out prior to show attendances, snow and ice permitting. The April meeting will feature our auction, so get looking for items to sell. April 7 will be our own Drive It Day, as many are away to the Isle of Wight later in the month, so please reserve this date. Details of the visit and lunch venue will be advised shortly. Our show at Rickinghall is the 5 May, and I would ask for as many members as possible to attend this one - there will be various jobs to do on the day and they tell me 'many hands make light work'

Members with XK8 convertibles will be interested to know that the hood hydraulic pipe replacement seemed to go ok, with the cost just under the lower estimate. I have not used it in December, but hopefully in the next few months normal service will be resumed!

All events are published in the schedule emailed out by Karen, but if you have any queries on anything, the committee member listed for each event will be pleased to help.
