Essex and Suffolk Borders - April News

News from around the region

Our April meeting featured a talk by the Blood Runners - dedicated people using motorbikes and cars to ferry blood products between hospitals and accident sites. As well as a donation of £50 from the club, a collection from members raised a further £125, reflecting the good 'esprit' in the region.

A large contingent spent an enjoyable few days in North Wales, which had been delayed for two years due to Covid, but all went well in the end! Many thanks to Bob Weaver for sticking with it and battling with Warners.

Our own show at Rickinghall is nearly upon us and we have a variety of interesting cars booked in as well as our members display of Jaguars. There should be a few tractors, bikes and taxis in the mix as well. The craft fair is fully booked up and there will be an assortment of stands on the field.

There is still a reluctance to commit to events and so far only 11 have put their names down for the NEC in November. Clearly it would not be economic to book the coach at this stage, but we could still go as a smaller party in cars - more on this in the next month or so.
