The preparations for our own show at Rickinghall on 18 May are progressing well and two JEC Cambridge members have contacted so far - we look forward to seeing you. Numbers are progressing for the cars on the field, but never finalise from the car clubs until nearer the time. There are certainly some interesting private entries, including a 1930 Renault, a Jensen 541 and a '57 Chevvy. The trophies have been collected to be awarded on the day.
Members are encouraged to check the Events List and get your names down on the lists at club night for those you wish to attend. New shows include Rochford on 29 June, a return to RHS Hyde Hall on 6 July, the ever popular Helmingham Hall on 3 August, a new venue Fordham Vehicle Show on 10 August, and Cars by the Bridge on 25 August.
This was a brand new show last year, in aid of charity, at Suffolk Food Hall by the Orwell bridge and is on again this year. It made the news this month with dolphins swimming up the River Orwell, but I doubt if they will feature at the show.
