Derbyshire Region - Visit to National Memorial Arboretum 15th May 2025

It’s been a busy start to May, with Bonnet’s Up, (see separate report from Geoff/Roger), quickly followed by our visit to the National Memorial Arboretum on 15th May 25.

A dozen cars and 23 members were there for a tour of the site by land-train followed by lunch organised by Nigel. The NMA was looking magnificent with the grounds as alway, carefully manicured in readiness for the 80 VE Day Remembrance which took place a week earlier. While it is clearly a place of emotion and sadness, it is also very much an inspiring memorial for visitors to take in the sacrifices made in the conflicts of the past. A special thanks to Debbie in the events team and the many volunteers and staff who looked after us, and our cars throughout the day”.
