Our Summer Run Out started in fine style with wall to wall sunshine and a record turn out of 24 cars and 53 members. A perfect start to the evening.
We had an excellent turn out of cars of all ages and types, and it was especially pleasing to see such a good turn out of wonderful E Types. It wasn't quite a 'full house' because Geoff and Angela arrived in the convertible XK, but it was especially pleasing to see Mark and Dawn again in their award winning example (see report on Bonnets-Up last month).
James and Duncan brought along their only just finished restored Mk 2 and quite a sight it was (see pic). This has been a 2 year restoration which has only just been completed - this was its first run out - but it ran faultlessly. We hope to see it again soon.
Geoff also presented Maurice with his award from last month's Bonnets Up meeting which he won with his F Type.
Our new venue - The Highwayman - coped well with the influx - 53 attendees vs an estimate given to the pub of 'around 35'. Once again the extensive car park was welcome.
