Derbyshire Region Report for October 2023

This is Roger's report for October which will appear in a subsequent issue of the magazine.

Not a lot to report this month as the season is coming to an end and we will shortly be looking at next year’s programme.

However, we did have an excellent trip to Northumberland at the beginning of the month with 24 of us staying at Linden Hall near Morpeth for 3 nights and two excellent run outs organised by Mike and Julie Overend. This is a lovely area and the roads are quite once you leave the main routes and there is plenty to see and do so thanks to Mike and Julie for their efforts.

In December we have our Christmas Lunch at Biggin Hall, and you should all have received the menu so will you please let me know if you are coming and your food choices. The date is Sunday 17^th December, and the time is 12.30 for 1pm.

Looking forward to 2024 we have 10 couples booked for the Malvern trip in early April and whilst the hotels have released the reserved rooms there is still time to book if you want to go. Let me know if you want details and I will email with the information.

Our meetings from November onwards through till March next year will be at lunch time at the Robin Hood, Baslow, but please remember there will be no meeting in December as we have the lunch at Biggin Hall.
