Our last monthly meeting was November as we have our Christmas Lunch in December so we skip this month for a meeting. We had a vey good turn out of 37 for the lunch and welcomed Andrew Smith and David Stone as new members and hope to see them both in the coming year.
The December lunch was again well attended with 37 sitting down at Biggin Hall and from the reports everyone enjoyed the day. The weather was kind, which is always a worry at this time of the year and a full report and pictures can be found on the Derbyshire Region web page on the JEC main website, so please take a look,
As I write this in early January, we have 4”/5” of snow on the ground, which is causing the usual disruption across the country and is definitely not Convertible weather. I have decided to keep the XK taxed over the winter months so I can “stretch it’s legs” given the chance so fingers crossed things improve.
Not much more to report other than we should have a programme of events ready soon but a couple of dates for the diary are Pipes in the Peaks BBQ is Saturday 21st June and The Baslow Car Show is Sunday 6th July so please get them in the diary.
