Setting off on a journey of 5,500 miles, starting by ferry crossing to Holland, through Germany, Holland, Denmark, Sweden and then by Ferry again along the coast of Sweden into Norway, our interpid couple then began their drive southwards to their property in France.
I won't spoil the story, you should try and hear Phillip yourself to get the real picture, but it includes: Indeterminate car failure almost from the start which was later traced to a faulty fuel pump connection, potential inability to load a non operational car (the XK) onto a critical ferry, unplanned contact with a deer, being handed a package of spares for a Jaguar in Finland, finding a tame Norwegan who happened to have a garage pit available in a hamlet in Norway, finding out that the hotel receptionist in Norway was also a mechanic...and the list goes on.
