Carsington Walk and Lunch, October 19

A sociable walk and lunch in great company

A sociable walk and lunch in great company

A cool but pleasant morning on the 22nd October saw the group gather in the car park at the visitors centre of Carsington Water. There was a good collection of Jaguars gathered ready for a walk or stroll depending on how energetic you felt. It was good to see new members Mike and Julie arrive with the top down on their XK despite the chill in the air. Lunch was scheduled for 12:30 so we set off, some at a pace and others more leisurely.

We all reconvened at the restaurant for lunch at 12:30 a total of 29 including two younger members, granddaughters, who brought the average age of the group down a little. The restaurant was serving a 3 course Autumn menu at a very reasonable cost. We all enjoyed lunch, very good food in excellent company. We were very well cared for by the staff in the restaurant who were friendly and efficient.

Overall we had an excellent day out and look forward to our next trip.
