A JEC Glasgow Region member's thank you to Graham Searle

A year has passed since former Club Chairman and Club Manager Graham Searle passed away. To many of us he was the face of the JEC. He visited Glasgow Region several times over the years and always identified with us as Jaguar Enthusiasts and JEC members just like him. Graham lost his life to Prostate Cancer at the age of 71. I am 71. His passing has certainly given all of us a warning and how we can help prevent things happening by our own actions. It would be a fitting gesture to him if all members of JEC Glasgow Region and beyond went through the simple process of asking their GP to carry out the simple check for this. I have just had the check done, virtually a year to the day of Graham's death, and my doctor gave me the all-clear. He advised me that I do have an "enlarged prostate", describing this as very common in "old blokes" of my age, and has given me medication for this.

So thank you Graham for giving me the sense and motivation to "get myself checked-out" - Ron Hutchison, JEC Glasgow Region
