2025 Spring Break

We held our annual Spring Break on 11th - 13th May. Gathering at one of our favourite starting points, Raemoir Garden Centre in Banchory, 4 Modern XKs, an F type and an XJS set off along Royal Deeside in excellent weather. The “setting off” was marked as a coffee and chat event also, and an additional 10 people joined us for that. Some of them came on the run as far as the lunch halt, where we were met by another 3 Jaguars. The lunch stop was at a cafe intriguingly titled “Goodbrand & Ross” which met our requirements ideally. The cafe is situated on the A939, just at the start of the Cockbridge to Tomintoul section, which is usually the first road to close in Scotland in the winter snow. The route took us past the Lecht ski centre, then a slow descent to Speyside, through Grantown on Spey and finally over the Dava Moor to the Golf View Hotel in Nairn on the shores of the Moray Firth. Two nights were spent here, with everyone doing their own thing on the Monday.

We are looking forward to our major Scottish event, the second Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Day which takes place on Saturday 28th June at the Riverside (Transport) Museum in Glasgow. At the first very successful event held in 2024, over 100 Jaguars attended, with a strong representation from the different JEC regions.
