Derbyshire Region - Summer Lunch (1) - Oakhill, Cromford

The Oakhill Hotel, Intake Lane, Cromford
26th June 2024
12:30 - 02:30
TBA

We are trying a new venue for our first lunch of the summer.

Oakhill is a beautiful Grade 2 Listed building built by the Arkwright family in the mid 19th century as a private family dwelling. It is a Georgian Style hotel which has been sympathetically restored and refurbished by its new owners during 2021. The hotel is located in the stunning Derbyshire countryside, set in extensive landscaped gardens within the historic village of Cromford. Oakhill is only a few minutes’ walk from the centre of the village, in the heart of the Derwent Valley UNESCO World Heritage Site and is only a ten minute walk from the train station.

Nigel has dined here more than once, and has organised the lunch for us. There is good parking although locating the hotel can be a little tricky and full directions will be given nearer the time.

We are hoping to arrange a run out to coincide with the lunch, and when details are available these will be added to the post. The run will start somewhere local at coffee time and we will drive in something resembling a convoy to the lunch location.
