Registration for this event is now open

GR JEC are pleased to provide you with confirmation of a major Jaguar Gathering taking place this summer at the Riverside Museum in Glasgow (the Transport Museum), on Saturday the 29th of June 2024, definitely a date for your diaries. The event, a first in Scotland, will be coordinated by all of the Scottish Regions of the JEC; involving Grampian, Glasgow, Fife & Tayside as well as Edinburgh Southeast.

This major event will be a feature of our GR JEC Planning calendar, which should be out in the near future, and registration is now open. Contact Jim Mann with your request.

For those of you who have not visited the Riverside Museum, it is a fantastic building with a stunning collection of Scotland’s transport history, plus it has a permanently moored Tall Ship, The Glenlee on the River Clyde, immediately adjacent to the Riverside – actually on the quayside of the museum. Accordingly, there is lots to see and do. Plus, there is a restaurant and café onsite as well. For “the other half” that may wish to experience the retail therapy that Glasgow can offer, there is a regular bus service from the front of the museum to the heart of the city and return.

Overall, we will be limited to a total of 100 cars on the day, but for anyone who does not want to be a part of the display on the forecourt / esplanade of the museum, there is a huge Pay and Display car park immediately adjacent for museum visitors and the spectators to this major gathering of Jaguars.

As mentioned above, all 4 of the JEC Scottish Regions will be involved in pulling this prestigious event together and we have already started working with the teams from our fellow Regions to make something really special happen “North of the Border”. We also have confirmation of support from the JEC Office, with personnel and, probably, the Club’s XF Sportbrake coming north for the first time. Pre-registration, which will be required to manage the display cars, is now open, so email Jim Mann to secure your place.

There will be a charge of £10 per car, to raise money for a chosen charity, so all for a good cause as well.
