Vredestein continues support of JEC Racing

Vredestein’s classic tyre range features on Jaguar XK120 to XK150 cars competing in the Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club XK Race Series.

In a recent press release from Vredestein the company outlined their commitment to the Jaguar Enthusiasts' Club Racing.

At the annual dinner the premium tyre brand Vredestein were awarded the Duncan Hamilton Trophy for its long-term support of the popular JEC Race Series (XK120-150 models, 1948-1961).

Vredestein UK has been the main sponsor of the Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club XK Race Series since 2010, and involved with JEC for 13 years. The tyre company’s support for the Club was acknowledged with the Duncan Hamilton trophy at the JEC Racing Awards Dinner last month.

The dinner, a convivial occasion organised by JEC to celebrate its members’ racing successes in 2016, was an opportunity to remind Jaguar owners and racers that the Vredestein Sprint Classic range is the tyre of choice when it comes to competitive racing. “The Vredestein Sprint Classic ‘period’ look suits our racing Jaguar XK120s and XK150s whilst also performing superbly as everyday road tyres,” said Terry Dye, JEC Competitions’ Secretary.

Vredestein Country Manager Karl Naylor received the Duncan Hamilton Trophy on Vredestein’s behalf, for its support of the XK Race Series. He also presented awards to Kevin Zwolinski (XK Drive of The Year), Andy Keith-Lucas (Winner XK Trophy), Derek Pearce (Mechanics’ Nightmare), Chris Keith-Lucas (Most Consistent Driver), and Tom Butterfield (Merville Kirkham Memorial Trophy).

The awards dinner took place at the Stratford Manor Hotel to recognise the efforts all the drivers give to this sport.
