Race 10 & 11: Donington Park

In a rather compressed season, 29 drivers assembled for the final 2 races of the 2013 championship. With potentially 4 drivers in the running for overall honours & only 9 of the 11 rounds counting towards the Championship, there was much to be gained (or lost!). A welcome return by Steve Askham after a long break.

Sturgess Motor Group of Leicester provided a delectable F Type Course Car in addition to a display of some current models.

The XJ40 Forum brought a display of beautifully prepared cars & , in addition to tour of Race Control, met many of the drivers and inspected race cars. Jaguar Heritage brought the V12 XJ40 Coupe.

Rob Jenner said "A group dedicated to the XJ40 and its preservation meet up once a year, 2013 saw them at Donnington Park race circuit as guests of the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club racing section, 20 plus cars attended of all years and variants, including a Majestic, two XJR's and a V12 6.0, they had a guided tour of race control and a brief insight into the racing section of the JEC, members were allowed to get up close and personal with the race cars, even being allowed to try them for size, some fitted better than others, and some not at all!! Terry Dye was the perfect host for the weekend and spent a huge amount of time with the XJ40 owners The XJ40 enthusiasts were greeted by two of Jaguars Heritage cars, the V12Coupé M 690 CRW and the very last 40 built M94 FVC, ably looked after by David Baldwin, who happily chatted away to our members all day
