Jaguar Enthusiasts' Club Insurance is launched at the NEC Classic Motor Show
Following the launch of a suite of new insurance initiatives aimed specifically at Jaguar Enthusiasts' Club members earlier this year, the Jaguar Enthusiasts' Club announced a new and exclusive partnership with Peter James Insurance at the NEC Classic Motor Show. The new scheme has been specifically designed with club members in mind with input from the club throughout.
Peter James Insurance are well known for their provision of specialist classic and vintage vehicle insurance and have been at the heart of the historic vehicle community for many years. This close relationship gives the specialist insurance provider a thorough understanding of the importance of membership-based organisations, like car and bike clubs, that form the backbone of the community. Peter James Insurance also understands how crucial it is for organisations, like ours here at the JEC, to ensure we are well funded to invest in club activities and are offering exclusive membership benefits to add value to the annual subscription.
The new ‘Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club Insurance’ product has been designed by Jaguar enthusiasts for Jaguar enthusiasts and gives members access to a range of benefits that you are unable to find elsewhere – ensuring true value for the members that use the scheme. These can include:
- Insurance solutions for younger club members – either as younger Jaguar owners or as additional drivers on their parents’ vehicle(s)
- Member to member cover – club members are covered to drive each other’s Jaguars completely free of charge
- Self-repair – the option to receive an equivalent cash settlement
- Cover for club organised track days as part of the JEC TrackSport programme
Dave Youngs, Partnerships Director at Peter James Insurance said,
“Peter James is thrilled to partner with the Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club to provide JEC Insurance to its members. We’ve worked closely with the club to develop this product and are looking forward to providing further support – whether that’s at club events or engaging with younger enthusiasts to encourage club membership.
Peter Purdom, Chairman of Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club said,
“The new and exclusive features that are now available to us will add even more value to our club membership by ensuring that, not only can JEC members access products not available elsewhere, but also that they have an insurance offering they can trust because it has been developed in partnership with the club. The financial support the club will receive from the commission structure also enables us to invest in other areas of the club, all for the benefit of our members to enhance their enjoyment of Jaguars.”
As the largest Jaguar club in the world, the Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club is committed to enhancing Jaguar ownership for its members. The JEC provide Jaguar, SS and Daimler vehicle enthusiasts with expert advice, events, tours and activities aimed at getting the most out of ownership. A key benefit is also enabling members to keep costs of ownership as low as possible both on and off the road without comprising on the quality of service – including insurance.
Jaguar Enthusiasts' Club Insurance was officially launched at the NEC Classic Motor Show on Saturday, with a talk on the success of TWR Jaguar, presented next to the 1988 Le Mans winning XJR-9. The story was told in the 40th anniversary year of Group C and Richard West was on hand to give the crowds gathered an insight into what it was like to be a part of the TWR team during that golden era. Then followed the opportunity to gather over a glass of fizz and hear from the scheme manage Dave Youngs and the Head of Classic for Peter James , Garry Carlin on how Jaguar Enthusiasts' Club Insurance will benefit club members.
