Petrolheadswelcome.com is a web portal designed to help Petrolheads find venues that their cars would enjoy.
If you’ve ever planned a road trip with stop-overs, you’ve probably had to cobble together sources of information to help you decide if the places you want to stay are suitable for your car. Does it have a safe car park? Is the surface smooth and free of the dreaded speed bumps? Is the proprietor a Petrolhead? It’s impossible to find that information in one place… until now!
Petrolheadswelcome.com has been built by car lovers for car lovers.
Director, Andrew Fawkes, said “Five of us came together to build the website following many shared drives in the UK and abroad. The planning effort required to organise a European road trip is considerable and sometimes off-putting. Not anymore!”
Fellow director, Paul Gerring, added “The benefit to petrolheads like us is obvious, but businesses and car clubs will also benefit. Hotels and pubs that host car club meetings are, or soon will be, on the site. So, whether you’re a lone traveller or a club organising a tour, you can be sure that the venues on Petrolheadswelcome.com are suitable and welcoming of your custom.”
Having a listing on the site is free to businesses. However, they can choose to pay a small fee to ‘enhance’ their listing to host more photographs, share video, etc.
Paul continues, “We have given every hotel on the site a Gold, Silver or Bronze ‘medal rating’ based on our personal experience of visiting the places in our cars. This will give even more confidence to fellow Petrolheads using our website.”
Every venue, regardless of its ‘medal rating’ must achieve a basic standard to be listed on the site. The site lists only individual hotels, not whole chains.

There’s no cost to becoming a member, so click on the link on the home page to register. You’ll then have access to all of the features of Petrolheadswelcome.com. There’s a monthly prize draw that automatically includes every member (see website for T&Cs).
