Vehicles started to arrive early at CMC's head office ready for what turned out to be another fantastic event. With a large selection of Jaguar's, and other makes too, this was an event for the whole family that was not to be missed. At the heart of the event were one of the largest collection's of Mark II's that have ever gathered in one place at one time.

Amongst those cars present were many belonging to club members, alongside others that had a truly unique history, such as an original Coombs car. This car had been in the same ownership since the mid-1970s and stored in a barn. The owner’s intention was to one day restore and use the car as everyday transport. Over the passing years the inclination to spend hundreds of hours underneath a classic Jaguar lost its appeal and the car was put on the market. It then came to CMC for a full restoration. The car however is now up for sale at an incredible £215,000.00. Click here for more details.

Not only was it a great day for all of the general public who attend, but it was also a super day for the club. The Roadshow van made another appearance in it's busy schedule, and several regions also made the trip accross. One of which was the ever active central region, and in an unexpected surprise one JEC member walked away with the first place in the charity raffle, which was a full treatment for a car of their choice using CMC's new ceramic valet products, and another John Liverton from the Oxfordshire Region won best Mk2 present on the day.

CMC Managing Director welcomed everyone to the event, and extended invitations for those present to also explore the the organisations workshops, where not only could they see some of the cars the skilled staff are currently working on, but they could also find out some of the tricks of the trade. Part of the workshops had also been handed over to allow Automobila, and collectibles to be sold, whilst demonstrations took part in other areas.

Many who attend the event arrived early and stayed all day whilst enjoy the sunshine. Other attractions also included live music, and several local artisan food and drink providers.

Other car clubs were also present, and there was a chance to up close and personal with some more unusual cars, including those which are normally found on the other side of the pond. Also, for those who are fans of the late Colin Dexter there was also a rare appearance from the burgundy Mark II known for it's starring role alongside John Thaw in Morse.
