Introducing Heythrop Park; our Entertainment & Accommodation venue for the 2019 Jaguar Festival.

Turning left into the main entrance of the Heythrop estate you suddenly become aware of its sheer size. Built between 1707 and 1710, the architecture and character are directly linked to the man who built it, Charles Talbot.

The 12th Earl and 1st Duke of Shrewsbury originally bought the Manor of Heythrop in 1697 and lived in the main House, which at the time was part of the village from which it took its name.

Over the years the estate passed through several generations of the Talbot family until the 1830's when a fire ripped through the building. After which it changed hands to the Brassey family who were renowned Railway entrepreneur's, the family had the interiors rebuilt and then lived the high life until 1924.

The estate would see two more owners over the years, namely The Provincial of English Jesuit and later Natwest Bank. During this time many modifications were made to the property to allow teaching and training to be undertaken by both.

When Natwest were taken over by RBS in 1999 the estate was sold again, but this time it would be for it return as an opulent wedding and events venue.

Today, and under the newly acquired guidance of The Warner Leisure Hotels Group, the estate boasts a staggering 358 Rooms, a Golf Course, Spa and Health Centre, Swimming Pool, Restaurants, Bars and acres of estate grounds to explore over the weekend.

Bedrooms vary in size, but all carry a uniformed, clean, comfortable and luxurious feel to their finish. Within the original house 17 of the bedrooms are tastefully matched to their surroundings, whilst in the extended wing rooms carry a more modern polish.
