SVO does it again
When Jaguar announced the side project SVO (Special Vehicle Operations) we here in the Jaguar Enthusiasts' Club were excited about the cars they might produce and boy we have not been disappointed. Project 7 is without a doubt the stand out Jaguar to come out these hallowed stables but now they have a new limited edition, Project 8.
What really makes you wonder about this car is the fact it is based on the XE, makes sense when you think about it, the XF and XJ are too big (?) but you know they will be coming at some point. The XE is developed around the company's world leading aluminium chassis and shares many characteristics with the F-Type.
As yet they have not unleashed a "X-rated" version of this model, so how about starting at the top and making the Project 8 the most powerful road legal Jaguar ever built. Didn't see that coming did you?
The time is right for SVO to produce the most extreme performance road car in the history of Jaguar. The SVO team is possessed by the spirit of performance and committed to creating the most thrilling driving experience imaginable. Our clients worldwide were thrilled by the F-TYPE Project 7. The new XE SV Project 8 takes aerodynamics and performance engineering to another level – it is conceived for enthusiasts and the most discerning collectors. The price for such an extreme performance sports car available in strictly limited numbers will reflect that. JOHN EDWARDS MANAGING DIRECTOR OF JAGUAR LAND ROVER SPECIAL OPERATIONS
