Despite the workload for Windsor the team were still able to make a little girls dream come true.
Member Mike Wharton contacted Graham Searle to say that his daughter, 10 year old Emily, was desperate to attend the Champagne Reception in St Georges Hall and was it possible to fit her in, thanks to a late cancellation Graham was able to do so and even sent her, her own invitation.
This she took to school and told her class what she was doing. On the night when Prince Edward, The Earl of Wessex was talking to guests, Grahams wife Lynne ensured Emily was in the right place and Graham said to His Royal Highness “we have a young lady here that’s always wanted to meet a Prince”. The Earl was extremely gracious and talked to Emily and posed for this picture.
This is just one highlight from what was a unique experience for so many people, but it certainly stood out for us.
