Enter Our Competition and Win a Track Day

Have you always fancied racing your car around the track?

THIS IS NOW CLOSED!! Thank you for all your entries. The winner will be announced on Friday 5th February 2016.

So what goes into a track day?

Taking to the track is an adrenaline pumping experience as you take yourself outside of your comfort zone and away from the restrictions of the road. But, as well as fun and thrilling, track days are controlled and safe and can help you learn the capabilities of your car.

You’ll get the opportunity to take advantage of the expert tuition available on the day to get the best from your car and all drivers are fully briefed before going out. You will be coached on how to drive around the track with the qualified instructor — he will point out the correct driving line and when you are ready, you will drive with the instructor and then you can go out alone.

Track days are held across various UK circuits, but Jaguar Enthusiasts' Club (JEC) usually run three at: Mallory Park, Brands Hatch and Goodwood (for classic Jaguars).

Our next track day event is coming up soon on February 26th 2016, at Brands Hatch. For more information please see the Racing Events section of our website. Alternatively, call: 01453 842399 or email: [email protected].

Addictive and Thrilling

Driving your car around the track can be very addictive once you’ve tried it and you’ll also enjoy the social aspect of the whole day, which is normally full of like-minded Jaguar and motoring enthusiasts.

Enjoying a previous track day at Brands Hatch, Tony Slinn, tells of his first time out at a JEC track day in an XKR:

“The wait for the briefing to begin gave all of us the chance to admire each other’s cars, about twenty in all, ranging from a stunning little Riley Butler Special, a beautiful D-type, through several full race XJSs and Mark 2s, to a couple of the very latest F-Types. But, the great thing about this track day was that other cars were welcomed too.

“The briefing itself was thorough: the racing line explained, the signals gone over, the instructors introduced, and safety made paramount. Ray Ingman was my instructor and in five or six laps I learned a huge amount about cornering and driving smoothly.

“Mistakes at Graham Hill Bend and Clearways were expertly analysed and when I followed Ray’s advice the difference was profound, especially in terms of smooth car control and getting the power down early out of corners.

“It was raining, but in all — it was a perfect day. You learn more about your car when it’s wet and you learn about your own capabilities too.”

How to enter? NOW CLOSED!! Thank you for all your entries, good luck!
