Jaguar moved the XF over to aluminium construction with a new model range from 2015, taking the advantage to alter the overall styling to a new format that would follow through to other models in due course. A revised but recognisable frontal treatment with revised side aspects and glass area led to a new rear end styling treatment. A completely re-designed interior allowed for the latest technowledgy with head-up displays, infotainment systems and driver controls.
Announced in four-door coupe saloon style only, these were the first models to be fitted with the latest 2.0 litre petrol, 2.0 litre diesel (in two performance ratings) Ingenium engines, or 3.0 litre performance petrol engine mated to a new 6-speed transmission with paddle controls. The smaller engined cars were also available in all wheel drive form and in four stages of trim level.
