Venue: The Riverside Museum in Glasgow
Date: Saturday, the 6th of June 2026
Jim Mann, the Scottish Coordinator for the Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club, has announced the third running of Scottish Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Day, and it will be held, once again, at the Riverside Museum in Glasgow, on Saturday, the 6th of June 2026, which is a little earlier in the month than the previous iterations.
Registration for the Gathering is now ‘OPEN’ and to submit your details for registration, please send an email to Jim Mann at scotland.ambassador@jecregions.org.uk, but please be aware that places are strictly limited. If your request is successful, additional details and the event parking pass will be sent out to those who have registered in due course.
For those of you who have not visited the Riverside Museum, it is a fantastic building with a stunning collection of Scotland’s transport history, plus it has a permanently moored Tall Ship, The Glenlee on the River Clyde, immediately adjacent to the Riverside – actually on the quayside of the museum. Entrance to the Riverside Museum is free, although entry to The Glenlee now incurs a small charge. Accordingly, there is a lot to see and do, and it should not cost the earth. Plus, there is a restaurant and café on-site as well. There is also now a new pedestrian bridge adjacent to the Museum, which allows access to those attractions on the south side of the River Clyde.
For the partner that may wish to experience the retail therapy that Glasgow can offer during the day, there is a regular bus service from the front of the museum to the heart of the city and return, including the open-top sightseeing option.
Overall, we are hoping to repeat the success of 2024 and 2025 and have over 100 gleaming Jaguars displayed on the Museum’s forecourt. For anyone who does not want to be a part of the display on the esplanade of the museum but still comes along and has a great day out, there is a huge ‘Pay and Display’ car park immediately adjacent to the museum.
Speaking of cars, 2026 is an important year for some of the Jaguar models we love, and we plan to celebrate the following anniversaries:
- Thirty years since the launch of the X100, the XK8 / XKR Sports Car range
- Twenty years since the launch of the X150, the ‘new’ XK / XKR sportscar range
- Forty years since the launch of the XJ40 range
- Sixty-five years since the launch of the E-type
In addition to support from the four JEC Scottish Regions, we have confirmation of support from the JEC Office, and the Chairman of the JEC, Peter Leake, has confirmed he is planning to be in Glasgow to be a part of the event. Do bear in mind that the event is open to all Jaguar Enthusiasts from Scotland and beyond. Pre-registration is required to manage the display cars, and is now open, so email Jim Mann to secure your place.
There will be a charge of £10 per car, all of which will go to raise money for our chosen charity, which is Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA), who were also chosen to benefit from the 2025 event and nearly £2000 was raised for this great cause.
