We’ve been looking forward to it for months, now we’re just a day away from the Royal Windsor Jaguar Festival . Here we’re going over the many reasons we’re excited about the festival:
60,000 bhp driving through the streets of Windsor
Whether it’s a 747cc Austin Swallow or 200mph F-Type SVR, the nearly 250 cars we’ll have parading through the historic streets of Windsor on the 6th will have a total power output of roughly 60,000 bhp.
This huge collection will also be on show for the public from 13:00, taking their place in the paddock after finishing their parade.
However, these won’t be the only Jaguars a the event, far from it! We are expecting hundreds of other cars to join us on the ‘long walk’ leading up to the gates of Windsor castle. We’ll have to wait and see exactly what turns up before we can calculate a horsepower figure for the entire festival, but it will no doubt be in the hundreds of thousands!
The iconic engines that we’ll be hearing, seeing and smelling
A good portion of that 60,000 bhp will be produced by the 5 engines we talked about a few months ago, which we can’t wait to hear singing around Windsor’s streets.
The XK features heavily, of course, having powered so many post-war Jags. However, we’ve included some more modern, less famous examples too.
The famous faces and key Jag-men
We’ll be expecting a fair few famous faces at the Royal Windsor Jaguar Festival , the illustrious owners Jaguar’s generally attract guarantees that. However, we’ll also be joined by some of the key figures at present-day Jaguar.
Tim Hannig should be joining us, the head of Jaguar Classic, who will no doubt be in awe of the sheer number of Jags in presence (he’s a genuine fan of British classics).
In the presence of royalty, Jag-loving royalty
While Bentley and Rolls-Royce might be the two marks most readily associated with the Windsors, the Royal family have long been fans of Jaguars and Daimlers as well.
For example, the Queen’s personal car for getting around her Windsor estate was, for many years, an X-Type estate.
The cars, of course!
The atmosphere, setting and company well have at the Royal Windsor Jaguar Festival will no doubt be something truly special.
However, we can’t wait to just get to get up close to some truly extraordinary Jags. Whether that’s the first E-Type to win a competitive race or the one-and-only XJ13, there’s going to be the largest concentration of rare, historic Jaguars that has ever been seen.

The Royal Windsor Jaguar Festival
The Royal Windsor Jaguar Festival will be an event like no other. Set in the majestic surroundings of Windsor Castle, the Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club has been invited by the Prince Philip Trust Fund to assemble a unique Jaguar display and parade with the ultimate goal of raising funds to support this great cause.
The Prince Philip Trust Fund raises money to help young people living in the Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead, having been established using a small sum of money taken from contributions to fundraising events that took place during Her Majesty The Queen’s Silver Jubilee celebrations in 1977. Since this modest beginning, the Trust Fund has benefited from a number of special fundraising events including several car rallies, and it is in this tradition that the Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club is organising the Royal Windsor Jaguar Festival.
