Mark IX

From 1959 to 1961

The last development of this model range came in 1959 with the introduction of the Mark IX. Looking exactly the same as the Mark VIII, there were major enhancements to performance and safety. This 2.2 mile Parkland circuit is wonderful when dry but in the wet, with a grid full of Jaguars? A totally different story. Arriving on Friday for free practice, it was pouring & extremely slippery.

2015 Championship Main Image

There can be no nicer circuit than Oulton Park on a warm sunny day & that's what we woke up to. This was the final round of the championship with so much to win (or lose) for both class points & the overall championship.
