You filled out the survey, we re-designed the scheme!
Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club Insurance set out to create a specialist insurance product tailored to the needs of Jaguar owners, offering unique benefits, enabling club activities to be enjoyed with peace of mind, and contributing back to the Club we all love. It’s gone well for both the scheme and the Club, but like all classic cars, now it’s time for a bit of routine maintenance and a tune-up for best performance and economy!
In order to diagnose what this tune-up would entail, we did what we promised we would do, and that was to come to you, the JEC members, to ask your views on what more you needed from the scheme, what you liked about it, what you wished it offered and if there were any barriers to you coming on board with the Club insurance. You replied via the Friday Spotlight survey in your droves and the feedback was excellent, very positive and with some useful insights into what more we can do for you.
As with any product developed from scratch, it must undergo a process of evolution and development and this has proven to be the case with this scheme as well.
We are committed to ensuring that the scheme uses your member feedback first and foremost to shape that evolution, so it is truly tailored to you and your needs. Since the scheme launched, we have taken thousands of phone calls, emails and issued many quotations. It’s been great to hear from so many members that we have been able to cater for their needs and, in some cases, save them some money in the process as well.
When we say that this insurance scheme has been designed for you, by you, we truly mean it. Thanks to the feedback you submitted during the last survey, we have now been able to evaluate how things have gone, analyse the numbers, and refine the scheme to reflect all your suggestions and offer more competitive pricing for those members with particularly unique requirements.
So, what is new?
Firstly, we must stress that the overwhelming feedback was positive towards the existing features, and we have also saved some of you a lot of money on premiums. So, none of the original features have changed – they all remain. What we have done instead is add to the offering.
From this month, we are adding more benefits tailored to owners of more modern Jaguars, to better reflect the diversity within the Club of models owned. What your feedback and our own data confirm is that we have a lot more modern Jaguars in the Club covering ever higher mileages. So, our new features bring the benefits of modern Jaguars insured on the scheme into line with those offered to classics.
No claims bonus – whilst we automatically apply the maximum discount possible to you as a Club member, we will ensure that any no claims bonus you bring with you into the scheme is retained, so you no longer have to worry that joining a Club specialist scheme might wipe your no claims history like some do.
Unlimited mileage – Modern Jaguars owned by members who have been with the Club for two years or more may opt for an unlimited mileage policy, so you no longer have to watch the miles so closely.
Clearly, this is more risky for us as an insurer, so we need to mitigate that by enforcing Club membership for more than two years to ensure this policy is reaching the true enthusiasts. But also, we are increasingly worried for those members who are not insured with the scheme yet but are with other mainstream insurers who are attending regional meetings, shows and other events completely unaware that mainstream insurance may not cover you for Club events – especially shows. We wanted to make certain you all had peace of mind to enjoy the Club and its events with total peace of mind.
Now that our review work has been completed, please give Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club Insurance a try. If you approached us for a quote in the first couple of years and then chose another provider, please consider us again and let us know if we have significantly improved enough to win you back. All the data and responses we receive from you are invaluable for shaping and evolving the scheme to meet your changing needs over time, so please keep in touch! The scheme is managed and administered for us by Peter James.

Great to see that the feedback has resulted in changes and greater benefit offerings to the club membership.
Personally, I have tried and failed (at my last 2 renewals) to take out club insurance due to the milage limitations imposed, so this change on it’s own has the potential to provide a massive benefit for the many club members who don’t just drive their cars at weekends or once a month!
GREAT INSURANCE only with the JEC I saved £400 with my insurance with their multi-car policy and far better loaded. So thats my membership fee paid for in one instance !!!! Thanking you guys.
