Classic Car Auctions have put together a wonderful catalogue of 156 cars for their Autumn Sale which includes a superb selection of Jaguars!

Leading the pack is a stunning 1960 Jaguar XK150 Drophead Coupé guided at £50,000 to £60,000. First registered in 1960, this UK-supplied, right-hand drive, 3.4-litre 150 DHC still retains its original green registration document. It has been maintained at a considerable cost, which is all supported by its detailed service history files. Refinished in Cotswold Blue in 2006, the interior was fully retrimmed in soft Burgundy hide in 2008. The car has also been upgraded with a 5-speed manual gearbox although the original 4-speed box with overdrive will form part of the sale.

There are two Series 3 E-Types up for grabs; a 1963 3.8-Litre Coupé guided at £50,000 – £60,000. This car has always been garaged and was subject to a fully documented rebuild in the mid-90s totalling over £20,000, although its original parts will be supplied as part of the sale should the buyer wish to return it to its original specification.

1971 US-supplied left-hand drive V12 Coupé in Signal Red which has been fully refreshed with a refurbished engine and gearbox and is guided at £40,000 – £45,000, and lastly a 1972 Series 3 E-Type V12 Coupé finished in Azure Blue, which has been in long term storage and will require recommissioning prior to use, so is sensibly guided at £15,000-£20,000.

For those looking for even more of a project, how about a 1967 Jaguar Mk2 3.8-litre barn find with just one previous owner and showing only 15,500 miles this car is offered at No Reserve but guided at £8,000 – £10,000. At the other end of the spectrum how about a rare right-hand drive, final-generation 1991 Jaguar XJR-s 6.0-Litre V12 – an appreciating modern classic.

If you are looking for a convertible there is a sparkling example of the second-generation 1993 Jaguar XJS 6.0-Litre V12 Convertible with an impressive maintenance history and guided £20,000 – £25,000 or a 1989 Jaguar XJ-S 5.3-Litre V12 Convertible in Glacier White with just 19,814 miles from new and direct from single family-ownership following £20,000 of recent work, guided at £30,000 – £35,000.

Full details about all the Jaguars and a further 140+ cars of all makes and models can be found on the Classic Car Auctions website where you can also register to bid. Each lot also displays the car specialist that has consigned the vehicle, who you can contact directly for more information about any given lot, alternatively, you can speak to the office team at +44(0) 1926 640 888.

Agreed values

We have a number of highly-qualified experts who can inspect your vehicle prior to purchase and provide you with a full written report. In addition to their complete understanding of the mechanical and aesthetic aspects of vehicle inspection, they have extensive experience with the Jaguar marque which perfectly equips them to identify the unique requirements of specific models and years, something that is particularly important for older cars.

The cost of an inspection begins at £100, with the final figure determined by the time needed and the distance the inspector is required to travel. We can guarantee that your inspection will be cheaper than an equivalent AA or RAC inspection.

This small upfront outlay could save you thousands in the long term.

To arrange an inspection simply call JEC Head Office on 0117 969 8186 and they will provide you with details of your nearest inspector.

Also from our club HQ in Bristol we can give you an official valuation for insurance purposes. Our valuations are accepted by all leading insurance brokers and Companies.

GETTING STARTED

Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club Insurance is designed specifically for members of the JEC. That’s why it covers JEC TrackSport events and offers cover for JEC Young Enthusiasts. Furthermore, the scheme recognises that members may have a combination of newer and more historic Jaguars and so the scheme caters for all, other individually or part of a multi-vehicle offering.

Club insurance doesn’t operate the way standard insurance does. While it does still take a vehicle’s mechanical characteristics into account, it also places a lot of emphasis on how the vehicle is used, cared for and maintained.

Club insurance also offers a host of benefits and products that you simply cannot get outside of membership of the JEC, such as member to member cover for example. This enables you to drive your friends Jaguars at regional meets, events and on tours with fully comprehensive cover and without the need to complete more paperwork or ring up and incur costs for adding named drivers.

This way, you’ll be comfortable knowing that you have a policy that fits your vehicle and your usage needs perfectly.
