JEC TrackSport calendar announced for 2023

Just fourteen months have passed since we first launched JEC TrackSport and the response from Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club members has been overwhelming! These really are events that allow you to explore the very best of your Jaguar’s performance, in a safe and supportive environment.

This year, to meet the growing demand for JEC TrackSport we are putting on four events, all of which are on sale now.

Castle Combe; Tuesday 25th April

We are planning some special attractions with our partners at Swallows Racing and Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust. Castle Combe will celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Jaguar F-Type with some unique cars attending from JDHT, Jaguar Classic and Newbarn Racing. You are invited to bring your F-Type and join the party. Spectating and the Car Display are free, if you want to go on track then you can book through this website. Conveniently located close to the M4 near Chippenham it is easily accessed from the motorway network and has plenty of options nearby for overnight accommodation.

Harewood Hillclimb: Saturday 8th July

Harewood was very popular last year with Jaguars from every era. This is an event for family and friends to bring a picnic and drink in the views across the track and the Wharfe Valley beyond. For those who have yet to take part in a TrackSport event then this is a great place to start and crash helmets are not required for this Hillclimb. Hill runs must be pre-booked through the JEC website additional runs will be made available on the day subject to there being sufficient capacity left. Harewood can found just off the Leeds ring road to the north of the city.

Blyton Park Thursday: 3rd August:

Blyton Park is home to Ginetta Cars test circuit, where they hone the handling and performance of some of the world’s finest race cars including Le Mans Prototypes. A combination of technical sections, flowing bends and large run off areas make it a track for both novices and more experienced track day enthusiasts alike. Our exclusive track day at Blyton Park will be limited to just 24 places, giving lots of space on the circuit and allowing for maximum track time. On the longer Outer Circuit layout which is approximately 1.6 miles you’ll get to truly experience the feel and handling of your car. Located near the market town of Gainsborough just north of Newark-on-Trent and close to the A1, Blyton is easily accessible.

Thruxton: Friday 6th October:

This is a unique skills event that we have put together with the team at Thruxton. The day will be limited to just forty places and is divided into five elements which will enhance your driving skills.

The Skid-Pan, you will be able to take your own car on Thruxton’s skid-pad in a safe and controlled environment, we will help you develop the skills needed to correct and control a sliding car. Not only is this great fun but a worthwhile skill to develop.

Karting, Thruxton is home to one of the best outdoor Karting circuits in the country. You’ll get to drive one of Thruxton’s Thunder Karts around the 1100-metre-long track

.
4×4 Off-roading take to Thruxton’s purpose built offroad centre in a Land Rover and learn a new set of car control skills with expert tuition. Auto-solo or Auto-test, back in your own car, a chance to see a big-cats agility by weaving your way through a coned layout as quickly as possible.

F Type Track Experience, the final element is to drive one of Thruxton’s own Jaguar F Types on the quickest circuit in the UK with one of Thruxton’s own instructors helping you to get the best from the car and your inner racing driver.

Agreed values

We have a number of highly-qualified experts who can inspect your vehicle prior to purchase and provide you with a full written report. In addition to their complete understanding of the mechanical and aesthetic aspects of vehicle inspection, they have extensive experience with the Jaguar marque which perfectly equips them to identify the unique requirements of specific models and years, something that is particularly important for older cars.

The cost of an inspection begins at £100, with the final figure determined by the time needed and the distance the inspector is required to travel. We can guarantee that your inspection will be cheaper than an equivalent AA or RAC inspection.

This small upfront outlay could save you thousands in the long term.

To arrange an inspection simply call JEC Head Office on 0117 969 8186 and they will provide you with details of your nearest inspector.

Also from our club HQ in Bristol we can give you an official valuation for insurance purposes. Our valuations are accepted by all leading insurance brokers and Companies.

GETTING STARTED

Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club Insurance is designed specifically for members of the JEC. That’s why it covers JEC TrackSport events and offers cover for JEC Young Enthusiasts. Furthermore, the scheme recognises that members may have a combination of newer and more historic Jaguars and so the scheme caters for all, other individually or part of a multi-vehicle offering.

Club insurance doesn’t operate the way standard insurance does. While it does still take a vehicle’s mechanical characteristics into account, it also places a lot of emphasis on how the vehicle is used, cared for and maintained.

Club insurance also offers a host of benefits and products that you simply cannot get outside of membership of the JEC, such as member to member cover for example. This enables you to drive your friends Jaguars at regional meets, events and on tours with fully comprehensive cover and without the need to complete more paperwork or ring up and incur costs for adding named drivers.

This way, you’ll be comfortable knowing that you have a policy that fits your vehicle and your usage needs perfectly.
