Our latest club track day was held Blyton Park in Lincolnshire at the former home of 199 Squadron of Wellington bombers during WW2. Now a dedicated motorsport circuit it is owned by Ginetta cars who use it for testing when not hired out by clubs such as the JEC.

With a day focused mainly on novices and a few classics we able to give drivers track time in the morning in small groups of similar ability. The afternoon session was opened to a more semi-open pit after everyone was happy and more confident, especially after first class tuition from our regular ARDS instructor Ray Ingman.
The interesting and unusual one-and-half mile anti-clockwise circuit with some challenging chicanes and sharp left-hand turns proved to be popular with all our guests. JEC club chairman Ray Searles had the opportunity to test his newly acquired XKR-S for the first time. Ray was joined on track by an exciting mix with XJS’s, two stunning C-Type recreations, an X308, F-Types, a beautifully crafted XK180 prototype recreation, the only XKR-R manual X100 on loan from JDHT and non-jags in the form of an Audi, Porche Cayman and a Lotus Elise. As so often with our track days it was supported by club partner Swallows Racing with Palmer Jaguar JP1 on display and taking passenger rides.
Blyton Park were excellent hosts creating a safe, warm, friendly, and relaxed track day. Our track day program continues with the chance to take your car up Harewood Hillclimb on August 21st or at our Autumn Track Day at the historic Castle Combe circuit where you can follow in the tyre tracks of legends such as Sir Stirling Moss, Nigel Mansell and Ayrton Senna on October 5th
