Summer Jaguar Festival cancelled until 2021

In response to more detailed information from UK Government regarding social distancing guidelines for public spaces and after extensive discussions with our venue and partners, the Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club has been forced to cancel the Summer Jaguar Festival this year. The event had previously been re-scheduled for the weekend of 21-23rd August 2020 at Newby Hall and nearby Nidd Hall.

The requirements of the guidelines have made it clear that it will not be possible for us to run an event on the scale of the Summer Jaguar Festival this year and so instead, the Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club will focus on planning for a fantastic weekend event that will include our celebration of the 60th anniversary of the E-Type at Blenheim Palace next year. This not-to-be-missed weekend will take place over 14-16th May 2021 and will offer the much-needed celebration we are all looking forward to.

Those who have booked show entry tickets to the event in advance will be issued with a refund automatically, there is no need to contact the Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club. This includes any payments for weekend extras purchased through the club, such as camping or the Brewery tour.

IMPORTANT:

The Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club asks specifically that those booked to stay at Nidd Hall do not contact the club nor the venue regarding their weekend hotel package booking. Warner Leisure Hotels at Nidd Hall will be making contact directly with all those that have booked, as soon as possible. This may take a couple of weeks due to the number of members booked and we thank you in advance for your patience and understanding at this time.

Ray Searles, Chairman of the JEC said:

It is with huge sadness that we have reluctantly concluded, in conjunction with Newby Hall, that the Summer Jaguar Festival should be cancelled for this year. We appreciate just how disappointing this will be for the event’s many loyal supporters. However, the safety and well-being of every one of our members and volunteers is paramount.
These are unprecedented times, therefore we appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding throughout. The good news is however, that we have been afforded even more time to work on a really special event for next year’s Summer Jaguar Festival at Blenheim Palace. This will feature E60 – the 60th anniversary of the E Type alongside anniversaries for the Mark X and Jaguar’s first Le Mans Victory with the C Type. We have already completed significant work in planning for this ‘once in a lifetime’ event and cannot wait to share our exciting announcements with you over the coming weeks.”

Sarah Goldsbrough, National Sales Manager at Warner Leisure Hotels, Nidd Hall said;

“Nidd Hall was very much looking forward to accommodating Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club members for the Summer Festival again and, although we understand the reasons for cancelling, we’re disappointed – we like to welcome groups, their guests and we were excited to see all the cars!
Nidd Hall will re-open its doors to guests on 27 July 2020 and we would still love for you to join us for a relaxing weekend away in August, right now we could all do with something to look forward to. In preparation, we’ve been busy enhancing our service and hygiene protocols and introducing social distancing measures to ensure everyone is welcomed to our hotel in the safest possible way.
We know you will want to know your options, but there is no need to contact us, our team at Warner will be in touch with you as soon as we can.”

The Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club will be soon be announcing more information, booking details and features for the Summer Jaguar Festival 2021.

Like many organisations, much of the team at the club’s offices are still working remotely. So, please be patient if calling the office or enquiring via email as the team are having to cope with a high volume of correspondence as a result of the present situation.

The Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club wishes to thank all attendees for their patience and for the continued support of our partners and venues. We look forward to seeing you all for the 2021 Summer Jaguar Festival at Blenheim Palace 14-16th May 2021.

Agreed values

We have a number of highly-qualified experts who can inspect your vehicle prior to purchase and provide you with a full written report. In addition to their complete understanding of the mechanical and aesthetic aspects of vehicle inspection, they have extensive experience with the Jaguar marque which perfectly equips them to identify the unique requirements of specific models and years, something that is particularly important for older cars.

The cost of an inspection begins at £100, with the final figure determined by the time needed and the distance the inspector is required to travel. We can guarantee that your inspection will be cheaper than an equivalent AA or RAC inspection.

This small upfront outlay could save you thousands in the long term.

To arrange an inspection simply call JEC Head Office on 0117 969 8186 and they will provide you with details of your nearest inspector.

Also from our club HQ in Bristol we can give you an official valuation for insurance purposes. Our valuations are accepted by all leading insurance brokers and Companies.

GETTING STARTED

Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club Insurance is designed specifically for members of the JEC. That’s why it covers JEC TrackSport events and offers cover for JEC Young Enthusiasts. Furthermore, the scheme recognises that members may have a combination of newer and more historic Jaguars and so the scheme caters for all, other individually or part of a multi-vehicle offering.

Club insurance doesn’t operate the way standard insurance does. While it does still take a vehicle’s mechanical characteristics into account, it also places a lot of emphasis on how the vehicle is used, cared for and maintained.

Club insurance also offers a host of benefits and products that you simply cannot get outside of membership of the JEC, such as member to member cover for example. This enables you to drive your friends Jaguars at regional meets, events and on tours with fully comprehensive cover and without the need to complete more paperwork or ring up and incur costs for adding named drivers.

This way, you’ll be comfortable knowing that you have a policy that fits your vehicle and your usage needs perfectly.
