Pirelli’s P Zero Experience comes to the home of UK motorsport to give you a racing experience

Pirelli’s tyres are well-known amongst both racing drivers and as being the factory fitted tyre of choice for Jaguar. Their stand formed a highlight of the annual gathering of motorsport’s great and the good. The Autosport International Show took place in Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre over the 9th-12th January 2020 and gave Pirelli a chance to show how their involvement with motorsport translates to a better tyre for your road-going Jaguar. It was also an opportunity to announce that their racing and supercar experience will be coming to the home of UK motorsport, Silverstone this year.

So, what were Jaguar’s preferred tyre brand showing off at the show?

Pirelli’s P ZeroTM Experience, is an event that has gone to iconic locations such as Mugello, Yas Marina and Hockenheim in the last couple of years, but in 2020 it will come to Britain on perhaps the most famous circuit in the country!

The P ZeroTM Experience represents the ultimate in track days, aimed at fast modern Jaguar owners who want to exploit the full potential of their cars in a race-bred environment.

At each event, Pirelli takes over the track and brings its expert engineers to help drivers get the most out of their car-tyre package as part of a truly memorable experience, with unforgettable hospitality.

The first P ZeroTM Experience in the UK will be in association with Salon Privé, and will take place at Silverstone, the home of the British Grand Prix, on June 2nd and 3rd. The Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club will also be in attendance.

In short, P ZeroTM Experience is the closest that any driver can get to becoming a professional racing driver for a day. But no racing licences are needed: just the right car and a passion for driving, which has always been the hallmark of Pirelli.

Those who are serious about track days can also benefit from Pirelli’s Track AdrenalineTMsystem, launched last year. This works by connecting sensors embedded in a specialist P ZeroTM Trofeo R tyre to a bespoke app, which collects telemetry in real time as well as acting as a tyre pressure monitoring system and data bank.

It’s linked to a GPS system, which means that drivers can receive detailed information about which racing lines they are taking and how efficiently they are using the tyres. All this adds up to faster lap times, almost like having a driver coach with you at all times.

We have a number of highly-qualified experts who can inspect your vehicle prior to purchase and provide you with a full written report. In addition to their complete understanding of the mechanical and aesthetic aspects of vehicle inspection, they have extensive experience with the Jaguar marque which perfectly equips them to identify the unique requirements of specific models and years, something that is particularly important for older cars.

The cost of an inspection begins at £100, with the final figure determined by the time needed and the distance the inspector is required to travel. We can guarantee that your inspection will be cheaper than an equivalent AA or RAC inspection.

This small upfront outlay could save you thousands in the long term.

To arrange an inspection simply call JEC Head Office on 0117 969 8186 and they will provide you with details of your nearest inspector.

Also from our club HQ in Bristol we can give you an official valuation for insurance purposes. Our valuations are accepted by all leading insurance brokers and Companies.

GETTING STARTED

Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club Insurance is designed specifically for members of the JEC. That’s why it covers JEC TrackSport events and offers cover for JEC Young Enthusiasts. Furthermore, the scheme recognises that members may have a combination of newer and more historic Jaguars and so the scheme caters for all, other individually or part of a multi-vehicle offering.

Club insurance doesn’t operate the way standard insurance does. While it does still take a vehicle’s mechanical characteristics into account, it also places a lot of emphasis on how the vehicle is used, cared for and maintained.

Club insurance also offers a host of benefits and products that you simply cannot get outside of membership of the JEC, such as member to member cover for example. This enables you to drive your friends Jaguars at regional meets, events and on tours with fully comprehensive cover and without the need to complete more paperwork or ring up and incur costs for adding named drivers.

This way, you’ll be comfortable knowing that you have a policy that fits your vehicle and your usage needs perfectly.
