Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club launch new podcast series

The Jaguar Enthusiasts Club have launched an exciting new podcast series. We aim to keep Jaguar fans in touch with a show packed with the greatest interviews, news and chat from the world of Jaguar.

So, what is a podcast? Well put simply, Podcasts are best described as on-demand internet radio.

The word “podcast” combines the words pod and broadcast. Don’t worry though, you don’t need an iPod to access them, that simply refers to the fact that the content is portable, so you can listen to it anywhere you go.

Listening to the Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club podcast is really easy. The quickest way is via the dedicated podcast website at www.jecpodcast.com .

There, you will see a list of episodes with the newest at the top. Click listen now and you will see an article with a little audio player at the top, on which you can hit the play button or choose to download the MP3 to your computer. Then, just sit back and enjoy!

You can also subscribe to receive new episodes automatically, and the buttons to do that are all clearly marked on the website – if you’re an Apple user you might want to subscribe in iTunes for example, or in Spotify for Android phone users. There are others there as well, all depending on your preferences.

All you need is online at www.jecpodcast.com

Also, you will be able to put your questions to our panel of model experts from the Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club and our commercial partners. Currently, we have Tom Robinson from Swallows Independent Jaguar waiting to receive your technical queries and questions.

It’s really easy to submit tech questions , simply click contact at jecpodcast.com and fill out the form OR even better, use the voice message button on the podcast homepage to record us your question so we can get you on the show.

On our very first episode, our star interview is none other than Win Percy, the Jaguar racing hero who won multiple touring car championships and raced at Le Mans with TWR Jaguar. In the first part of our conversation, Win describes how his racing career began, the circumstances that lead to him meeting Tom Walkinshaw and his first impressions of the Group A XJS. In the second part we will hear how Win Percy survived a terrifying crash at Le Mans and the tale behind Tom Walkinshaw’s premonition of his death! Also, on episode one, James Blackwell shares how JEC HQ is managing to keep the club running for you during COVID-19, plus the latest on the Summer Jaguar Festival at Newby Hall. Plus, Richard West remembers his part played in the 1990 TWR Jaguar win in the first of our regular series of ‘Richard remembers’.

So, click on to www.jecpodcast.com , kick-back and enjoy 45 minutes of Jaguar chat! We look forward to hearing your technical questions and Jaguar stories as well.

Agreed values

We have a number of highly-qualified experts who can inspect your vehicle prior to purchase and provide you with a full written report. In addition to their complete understanding of the mechanical and aesthetic aspects of vehicle inspection, they have extensive experience with the Jaguar marque which perfectly equips them to identify the unique requirements of specific models and years, something that is particularly important for older cars.

The cost of an inspection begins at £100, with the final figure determined by the time needed and the distance the inspector is required to travel. We can guarantee that your inspection will be cheaper than an equivalent AA or RAC inspection.

This small upfront outlay could save you thousands in the long term.

To arrange an inspection simply call JEC Head Office on 0117 969 8186 and they will provide you with details of your nearest inspector.

Also from our club HQ in Bristol we can give you an official valuation for insurance purposes. Our valuations are accepted by all leading insurance brokers and Companies.

GETTING STARTED

Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club Insurance is designed specifically for members of the JEC. That’s why it covers JEC TrackSport events and offers cover for JEC Young Enthusiasts. Furthermore, the scheme recognises that members may have a combination of newer and more historic Jaguars and so the scheme caters for all, other individually or part of a multi-vehicle offering.

Club insurance doesn’t operate the way standard insurance does. While it does still take a vehicle’s mechanical characteristics into account, it also places a lot of emphasis on how the vehicle is used, cared for and maintained.

Club insurance also offers a host of benefits and products that you simply cannot get outside of membership of the JEC, such as member to member cover for example. This enables you to drive your friends Jaguars at regional meets, events and on tours with fully comprehensive cover and without the need to complete more paperwork or ring up and incur costs for adding named drivers.

This way, you’ll be comfortable knowing that you have a policy that fits your vehicle and your usage needs perfectly.
