The spring & summer 2018 events season is starting to get underway. Those of you on social media will have seen the fallout from Bicester Heritage’s Sunday Scramble, which unofficially kicked off the season in glorious fashion. Since the opportunities to get your Jags out are increasing we thought you should know what you can expect from our biggest event this year – the national rally at Wroxall Abbey.

One of the main attractions on the day will be our Jaguar timeline and parade, in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the XK and the 50th anniversary of the XJ. The timeline will be set out on the long drive featuring 70 cars to enjoy, and some very special ones at that.
Of the cars, 12 are classic XKs from the 1950’s, including a very special Aristocrat XK120 replica fabricated using 1970 XJ6 4.2 parts.
The rest of the line-up will be made up of 53 XJ saloons and five XJ coupés of different iterations. We will be lucky enough to display the new Jaguar XJ575, kindly leant to us by Sturgess Jaguar of Leicester. The high-powered runout XJ has a reputation for setting both the press and its rear tyres alight and we look forward to sharing it with you in July.

There will be plenty of exciting XKs and XJs for you to enjoy on the day so we won’t spoil too much of the surprise!
What we will tell you is that you can expect to see the ex-Silverstone Fire Tender XJ, the oldest surviving XJ6 and XJ12 as well as the 1992 Daimler Double Six owned by the late Sir Nicholas Scheele and now in the care of Tony O’Keefe. There is a list as long as your arm of special cars in the timeline but you’ll have to join us on 1st July to find out!
