A new addition for 2018 The STAR awards were created to recognise the incredible efforts that our members, and our regions undertake to keep the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club at the forefront of our community.
At the core of the event were six specially created awards. Entry was open to every region and member within the club, and in less than four weeks we received over 40 entries from all over the world
Each award carried it’s own unique prize, alongside a gift from club supporters Meguiars

Those attending enjoyed a fantastic three course meal, great conversation, and also found out about a brand new partnership the club has formed for 2019. More details about this will be released soon.
The ceremony itself was hosted by Club Director and former Chair Rob Jenner, who was also assisted by Racing Driver Matthew George, who had the task of announcing the final choices the panel of judges had made, and with so many entries those final decisions were not easy.
This years winners were ..
Best Regional Communications
South Lincs
Enthusiast of the Year
Colin Manconi – South Wales
Long Service Award
Mike Beirne
Regional Event of the Year
Warwickshire, Coventry & Hinckley for Jaguars At The Castle
Best Contribution to Community Engagement
Grampian
Region of the Year
West Sussex
The Judges were overwhelmed by the quality of entries and would like to congratulate all who entered.
The STAR Awards, alongside some additional categories, will return again next year for it’s second outing and the club hopes the event will grow accordingly in size.

Hi Ian,
I’m not sue if you remember me, Joan and I used to attend your meeting/lunches etc.
Sadly Joan has died and I am now living in Carmarthen, South Wales and would like to join the local Jec club.
I am in contact with Cardiff and they have suggested the West Wales branch, suggesting it might be closer, but sadly did not have any contact details.
If you have any info I would appreciate you advising me.
Aside from that our X type was sadly written of in a crash in 2023 and having now settled in my new home I am looking for a low milage XK8; should you know of someone wishing to sell theirs please would you give them my details.
Please give my best to those who remember me and I wish you every success with your JEC responsibilities.
Kind regards,
Ian
