JEC Oxfordshire Again Provides Most Of The Car Fleet For Mission Motorsports' Veterans@Heritage Event - Friday 14th August 2026

This was our Region's 9th attendance at this event, organised by Mission Motorsport, to provide the car fleet from our Members, to provide passenger experience rides for Veterans and their families. We'd successfully made it into the summer once more, but would have welcomed the 5th heatwave in the UK to have moved through faster !!

'MM' is the armed forces' Motorsport Charity, with the aim of 'Race - Retain - Recover'. Mission Motorsport is a UK-based charity dedicated to supporting the recovery and rehabilitation of individuals affected by their military service or the transition into civilian life, capitalising on the unique and astonishing healing powers of motorsport. Since its founding in 2012, they have provided pathways for recovery and rehabilitation for more than 2,000 members of the Armed Forces community. Additionally, the charity has helped and facilitated new career pathways in the automotive industry leading to employment for more than a further 2,000 veterans

'MM' is one of the Region's 2026 charities and a further significant donation from a Region Members was agreed at this event.

.Our Region is proud to do something for our veterans as well as their, and our, community. Taking Veterans and their Dependents and Others around the BH Test Circuit in Jaguars, in between them getting counselling and other support, is always fun and Members typically also blag rides in other Members’ Jaguars.

This year we fielded no less than 15 Jaguars for the 'Best of British' field - more than 50% of the total fleet. The range was impressive and the models eye-catching - from XFs to XJs, E-Types, XJS, F-Pace, F-Types, XKs (and especially an XK RS GT), a Project 7, a Project 8, a C-Type and an XJ220 - one of the special line up at the recent JSHT / Outlon Park event.

Easily 3/3rds of the c.150 Beneficiaries of MM, MM staff, JEc Members and friends went out onto Bicester Motion's Test and Experience Track. All had a great time even if some of us had to relax again for a while afterwards ! So here's to next year for that 10th time......

There’s a bit of a difference this year too, in that the event is going to be their extremely popular Families Day whilst retaining last year's theme of 'Best of British'. Also, some Members from Bedfordshire Region are likely to join us.

Agreed values

We have a number of highly-qualified experts who can inspect your vehicle prior to purchase and provide you with a full written report. In addition to their complete understanding of the mechanical and aesthetic aspects of vehicle inspection, they have extensive experience with the Jaguar marque which perfectly equips them to identify the unique requirements of specific models and years, something that is particularly important for older cars.

The cost of an inspection begins at £100, with the final figure determined by the time needed and the distance the inspector is required to travel. We can guarantee that your inspection will be cheaper than an equivalent AA or RAC inspection.

This small upfront outlay could save you thousands in the long term.

To arrange an inspection simply call JEC Head Office on 0117 969 8186 and they will provide you with details of your nearest inspector.

Also from our club HQ in Bristol we can give you an official valuation for insurance purposes. Our valuations are accepted by all leading insurance brokers and Companies.

GETTING STARTED

Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club Insurance is designed specifically for members of the JEC. That’s why it covers JEC TrackSport events and offers cover for JEC Young Enthusiasts. Furthermore, the scheme recognises that members may have a combination of newer and more historic Jaguars and so the scheme caters for all, other individually or part of a multi-vehicle offering.

Club insurance doesn’t operate the way standard insurance does. While it does still take a vehicle’s mechanical characteristics into account, it also places a lot of emphasis on how the vehicle is used, cared for and maintained.

Club insurance also offers a host of benefits and products that you simply cannot get outside of membership of the JEC, such as member to member cover for example. This enables you to drive your friends Jaguars at regional meets, events and on tours with fully comprehensive cover and without the need to complete more paperwork or ring up and incur costs for adding named drivers.

This way, you’ll be comfortable knowing that you have a policy that fits your vehicle and your usage needs perfectly.
