At the Staffordshire North region July meeting, the “Car of the month” competition winner was a lovely E Type belonging to Ed Walker, our monthly raffle raised £41 towards region funds, the “Booby Prize” was won by Ange Blakemore, thanks to all members who donated prizes, there were also donations from Richard Greaterix and Graham Durber. Dave Page regaled us with a report about the wonderful scenic tour of Anglesey he and Sue Page had organized. Next year’s tour may be to Norfolk or South Wales. The show season is not finished yet; On 12th September the region will be at the Biddulph Show which is held in the town centre. The following week we appear at the North Rode Transport Show where there is no age limit for the cars. Other events we will attend are Thoresby Park on Sunday 27th September and in October the ever popular Foxfield Railway (with legendry breakfasts) and Heaton House Farm on 11th – this is another show where club entries have no age restrictions for the cars, I will need photos (Maximum of two please) for the 2027 region calendar by the end of October please, these need to be Landscape format (or square) with some border around the car/scene and of good resolution, if you are not sure send them anyway and I will let you know their suitability. Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club Insurance is designed specifically for members of the JEC. That’s why it covers JEC TrackSport events and offers cover for JEC Young Enthusiasts.
