May clubnight meeting was a great success with 35 members attending, our raffle of 12 prizes raised £62 for region funds went well with the special “booby prize” being won by Steve Bass - you need to be there to find out what it’s about! Many thanks to members who donated prizes. It was also our first “Car of the Month” competition for 2026, with many fine examples of Jaguar/Daimlers and models of all ages were on the car park to choose from, the winning car, a beautiful 2005 XJ Super V8 Portfolio belongs to Stan Crutchley, he will be presented with a certificate and special laser engraved keyring at the June meeting. There are more opportunities to win these club night events up to September (weather permitting). Some events we have attended so far have been Apedale on ‘Drive it Day where we had 8 cars, at Donnington we had 8 or 9 cars, Capesthorne Hall, Blythe Vintage show and Gawsworth Hall (plus others) - all great shows. We visited the Trentham Gardens show in June where we had our two annual competitions – one for the ladies who dress up with a theme, this year ‘the circus’, and ‘Best Jaguar/Daimler on our stand’. Watch out for the reports in the August magazine. Events coming up in July are the Alrewas show, Peacock Railway Steam Day, Audlem show followed by August shows at Betley, Tatton Park, Avro Heritage Museum for the Northern Jaguar show plus many others.

Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club Insurance is designed specifically for members of the JEC. That’s why it covers JEC TrackSport events and offers cover for JEC Young Enthusiasts. Furthermore, the scheme recognises that members may have a combination of newer and more historic Jaguars and so the scheme caters for all, other individually or part of a multi-vehicle offering.
