JEC West Sussex - Forthcoming Events for 2026

Saturday 11 - Sunday 12 July – JDC 70th Anniversary – Brooklands. West Sussex Region JEC stand at the event at Brooklands on Sunday 12 July. To book, please go to: https://www.jaguardriver.co.uk/events/2026/jdc-national-weekend

Wednesday 15 July – Club Night at Tottington Manor (off the A2037 on the road to Edburton) BN5 9LJ from 8pm. Richard West interviews Matthew Davis, Managing Director of Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust.

Richard West will once again be making his annual visit to see us in West Sussex Region JEC, this time he will be accompanied by a very special guest, none other than Matthew Davis of Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust.

In his role as Managing Director, Matthew is responsible for providing strategic direction and working alongside his dedicated team of skilled employees and volunteers in maintaining and utilising the 180 plus vehicle collection held in trust for the Nation at both National and International events and ensuring maximum visibility of the collection to the public. From Formula 1 cars to vehicles built for, and used by Royalty, the Gaydon based collection pays homage to Jaguar across the ages. Also held in safe surroundings are huge amounts of letters, drawings, design information, IP, historical documents, Sir William Lyons personal and business items – the list is huge and to share his knowledge and experiences of being head of JDHT, you are in for a fascinating evening and one not to be missed.

Apart from his extensive knowledge of all things Jaguar, Matthew is a passionate classic sailing boat racer and as if that’s not enough, he can be seen on a regular basis supporting the JEC’s TrackSport events – an occasional racing driver as well, there is much to discuss and enjoy. We look forward to you all meeting Matthew with Richard and enjoying an evening of chat and Jaguar insights both JDHT and JEC.

Both Matthew and Richard will be travelling long distances to see us so please do support this event.

Tottington Manor will be serving food at 6:45pm. The food this month will be Sussex Pork and Tarragon Meatballs, Mushroom Sauce and Rice for £18.50 per person. Please let Sandra and Phillip Webb know, by Thursday 9 July on 01243 554037 or sandrawebb9@hotmail.com if you wish to eat. If, after having booked, you then find that you cannot attend, please tell Sandra and Phillip straight away – at least 3 days before the event as Tottington Manor’s cancellation policy means if you don’t, you’ll be liable for the cost. Please also advise them if you’re attending and not eating so we know the likely total number of people who will attend.

We have a number of highly-qualified experts who can inspect your vehicle prior to purchase and provide you with a full written report. In addition to their complete understanding of the mechanical and aesthetic aspects of vehicle inspection, they have extensive experience with the Jaguar marque which perfectly equips them to identify the unique requirements of specific models and years, something that is particularly important for older cars.

The cost of an inspection begins at £100, with the final figure determined by the time needed and the distance the inspector is required to travel. We can guarantee that your inspection will be cheaper than an equivalent AA or RAC inspection.

This small upfront outlay could save you thousands in the long term.

To arrange an inspection simply call JEC Head Office on 0117 969 8186 and they will provide you with details of your nearest inspector.

Also from our club HQ in Bristol we can give you an official valuation for insurance purposes. Our valuations are accepted by all leading insurance brokers and Companies.

Simply call 0117 969 8186 for details

GETTING STARTED

Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club Insurance is designed specifically for members of the JEC. That’s why it covers JEC TrackSport events and offers cover for JEC Young Enthusiasts. Furthermore, the scheme recognises that members may have a combination of newer and more historic Jaguars and so the scheme caters for all, other individually or part of a multi-vehicle offering.

Club insurance doesn’t operate the way standard insurance does. While it does still take a vehicle’s mechanical characteristics into account, it also places a lot of emphasis on how the vehicle is used, cared for and maintained.

Club insurance also offers a host of benefits and products that you simply cannot get outside of membership of the JEC, such as member to member cover for example. This enables you to drive your friends Jaguars at regional meets, events and on tours with fully comprehensive cover and without the need to complete more paperwork or ring up and incur costs for adding named drivers.

This way, you’ll be comfortable knowing that you have a policy that fits your vehicle and your usage needs perfectly.
