Winner of the “Car of the Month” competition held in June at our new region venue, the Red House, in Caverswall was a well-presented Classic XJ6 Series 1 Coupe belonging to Stan Crutchley. Stan will be presented with his framed certificate in July. Dave Lewis (pictured), winner of the May event, was presented with his certificate for his winning car, an XK Convertible. We had the usual region fund-raising raffle, thanks to all those who donated the prizes, I won the ‘Booby Prize’ it was a great turnout of members on a sunny evening. There were reports regarding shows and events covering the many shows we have been to and detailing those to come. One event not to miss will be the Trentham show, this will be where we will hold our own awards event for the best car on our stand, it is on Sunday 14th September. included will be a lady’s “Hats” themed event. Several members enjoyed a tour of Yorkshire organized by Dave and Sue Page and had a superb time, other shows to look forward to in August are at Tatton Park 16th, Capesthorne Hall 24th and Apedale on 25th (Monday) plus others. I know it is early in the year but now is the time to start thinking about taking a photo of your pride and joy for next year’s regional calendar. Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club Insurance is designed specifically for members of the JEC. That’s why it covers JEC TrackSport events and offers cover for JEC Young Enthusiasts.
