Mark having returned to civilian life, is committed to helping make communities safer, giving people the confidence to speak up about crime. He leads on the overall development and direction of Crimestoppers to ensure more people overcome their fears on reporting crime.
Mark works closely with Directors, Trustees and Volunteers to ensure they are as effective a service This includes fostering key relationships with Police and Crime Commissioners, Chief Constables, Home Office Ministers and Senior Civil Servants, as well as partners in the commercial and Third Sector.
In 1988. they started off as the Community Action Trust with a simple phone line. People called their team and they listened; they took information about crime, stripped it of any information that could identify the person making the call, and passed it to the police.
They became Crimestoppers in 1995, they still receive lots of calls, but most information comes in online to their National Contact Centre. Working with the public, businesses as well as the public growing awareness, carrying out educational campaigns through regional teams and central office.
Their purpose has always been the same since they were founded by Michael Ashcroft (now Lord Ashcroft) They wanted a way for people to come forward anonymously with information but was afraid to go to the police
Crimestoppers now employ around 100 members of staff and work with a team of supporters and network of volunteers.
They believe in the power of people to stop crime. Every member of the team of staff and volunteers are vital in ensuring they can achieve change for their community.
Crimestoppers have made a real difference by helping more than 720,000 over the last 12 month and people now fully trust to pass on vital information about crime - 100% anonymously.

Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club Insurance is designed specifically for members of the JEC. That’s why it covers JEC TrackSport events and offers cover for JEC Young Enthusiasts. Furthermore, the scheme recognises that members may have a combination of newer and more historic Jaguars and so the scheme caters for all, other individually or part of a multi-vehicle offering.
